Mom has lived at AZ Life for eight months. When the time came for mom to move to assisted living I was concerned about the care she would receive at a assisted living facility. Mom has many allergies especially with food. Effie and Igor are very accommodating when it comes to my moms dietary needs. Every meal is fresh and homemade. They make sure that mom gets the food she needs as well as ensuring that it is nutritious and tasty. The home is impeccably clean. Every thing is organized from food menus to medicine. The weekly activities keep the residents active and engaged. Effie goes out of her way to make the residents feel like family with celebrating holidays and birthdays. My mom is happy there and I am happy that she is getting excellent care.

They do medication management, personal laundry, provide incredible meals throughout the day (Igor should be a chef), provide numerous activities for their guest, bathing, dressing, grooming, & bathroom assistance, daily housekeeping, healthcare provider communications, and any other services as needed. I’m not sure I have enough praise words to describe the care my mother got in Effie and her teams care. My mother was in her care for 17 months. She treated her like she was a member of her family. She made sure my mom had the greatest lady from Hospice care to take care of all her health issues. Effie went out of her way to make sure mom was comfortable, did special feminine things like paint her nails and did her hair. Mom had some skin issues when we took her to Effies and with in days Effie had her all cleared up. She would make sure that every Sat to set up FaceTime so mom could talk to us as we lived out of state. We were always treated as special guest when we came for a visit. My mother loved it there and I never saw her without a smile on her face. Effie’s home is beautiful and decorated for beauty and peacefulness. and very clean. Mom had special food needs and they always made sure her food was fixed so she could enjoy it like everyone else. My grandmother was a resident here at AZ Life Assisted Living. She had fallen and injured herself at home and we were forced to find a place for her to live. As a Registered Nurse in the Emergency Dept, I am all too familiar with group homes that fall short of giving any sort of loving, good care. So needless to say, I was worried about moving her to a group home. The minute I stepped foot in the door of Effie’s home, I knew this was the place for my grandmother. Not only is the home spotless clean but Effie and her husband Igor and daughter Ludmila, were so friendly and kind. Over the next six months, Effie and Igor provided such wonderful care to grandmother. During this time, Grandmother started declining with dementia, and Effie and Igor went to great lengths to make sure she was kept safe, well-fed, and well-cared for. They brought in musical entertainment, and even decorated their house at the Holidays, I could tell, even though grandmother had dementia, that she loved Effie and Igor. Sadly, grandmother passed away in January but she literally passed away in Effie’s arms. I could not have asked for a better way for my grandmother to leave this world but in the arms of someone who truly cared so much for her. They will always hold a special place in the heart of my family for the kindness they showed my grandmother. I highly recommend AZ Assisted Living for your loved one.

Effie, Igor and Ludmila cared for my very frail 93 yo Mom for over 2 1/2 years. She was no longer able to live alone following a fall and head injury. She was treated with respect and loving care. She was always well groomed and the meals beautifully prepared by Igor, well balanced and always fresh proteins vegetables and fruit, homemade soups (which she loved) and healthy breakfast. Mom loved music and classic movies which they always assured she was able to watch and listen to. All Holidays and Birthdays were fun–special treats, cakes (and fresh flowers were a norm) along with live entertainment and Christmas decor that was beautiful and homey. Effie always kept up great communication and worked well with Mom’s hospice when her health declined. In fact, she was so well cared for, she graduated from Hospice at one point. I know Effie and Igor loved my Mom and Effie attended Mom’s Memorial Service. This is a business they are well suited for and show it in their commitment to care and dignity of all of their residents. As a geriatric social worker, I wish all older adults the care my precious Mom received at Az Life ALH.

I am blessed to have Az life Assisted living with Effie and Igor taking care of my mom. It came time to put my mom in 24 hour care and I chose Effie and Igor because my mother in law was there and has been very happy for 2 years. The meals are excellent and nutritional. Also, they give my mom so much love and do her nails and hair and makeup to make her feel better and special. The home is beautiful. Each person has an individual room that is personalized with their pictures and belongings to make them feel at home. They also monitor their medications .I can’t say enough good things about this place and highly recommend it.

I only wish I had found this home sooner for my mom. my mother always had clean clothes on, never had a odor and smiled. Effie did a fantastic job, there were times my mom could be difficult. The aroma from cooking the meals smelled wonderful, if you wern’t hungry when you arrived to visit your loved one, you were hungry when you left, I can’t say enough about the wonderful care they provide. I recommend AZ life for elderly care. My mother lived at AZ Life for almost a year and was treated as a member of their family. No matter what time we would visit she would be dressed, hair combed and looked great. They prepare all their own delicious meals. We were always welcomed as family when we visited and invited to stay as long as we would like. Effie and Igor are truly caring people who will treat your mother as if she was theirs. They work extremely well with hospice and provide 24hr care. If you are looking for a group home that will treat your mother the way you would, look no farther than AZ Life Assisted Living.

My Mom has lived in this assisted living care home for 15 months now. She came to this home immediately after surgery of her broken wrist. I can not express enough how appreciative of Effie and Igor for taking her in at a time that no one else could care for her especially recovering from surgery. My Mom has dementia and absolutely can not live alone. Effie and Igor are the most caring, loving and responsible care givers that anyone could ever have. This full time job for them consists of doing everything for the people that they are caring for. This includes administering all medication, showering, dressing, feeding, entertaining and providing in house medical assistance for them. The home and environment are absolutely beautiful and relaxing and I would recommend them to anyone who wants their loved one to be taken care of 24 hours a day.

AZ Life is the only place my mother was, were I was comfortable that she would be cared for the way I would care for her! Effie and Igor along with Daughter Ludmilla cared for my mother as if she was their own family as she did become!! My mom spent the last year of her life as happy as she could be and along with the therapy dog she felt as she was home. I could visit any time I wanted, but was always secure in the knowledge that if anything changed or if Mom needed me they would call me instantly! The food was wonderful and home cooked and Igor would often cook more than one meal for mom if she did not care for what was served. She was cared for with the utmost kindness and love. Effie & her husband, Igor. are just like family now to my mother-In-law, as well as to our entire family, we all love them so much. They approach their job like they are family, and not just a job. You can tell that they love people and are passionate about what they do. They take excellent care of everyone and monitor them closely from a health/safety perspective, to help ensure that they are given the best possible care. . The home & yards are spotless & very beautiful, and well maintained at all time, and the wonderful homemade food/meals that Igor makes on a daily basis, makes me want to move in there. The food is always fresh, healthy, and it looks like it was prepared by a professional chief. They always have weekly activities that encourages everyone to sing, do mild exercising/walking if they are able to do so, and games to keep their minds active. Bottom line, I do not think that anyone would be able to find a better place with such loving people as Effie & Igor, for a competitive price, in such a beautiful/loving safe home environment as AZ Life Assisted Living. Myself & my family are so grateful that we found AZ Life Assisted Living because we know Mom is always safe , and getting the best possible care that she can get in the latter part of her life.
